About Me

Hi! My name is Deborah Daluga, but I typically go by Debbie. I am in my third year at Indiana University Indianapolis and plan to graduate in May 2025. I am majoring in psychology (B.S.) and minoring in data studies. After graduating, I hope to go to graduate school to obtain a PhD in clinical psychology. I currently involved in research about emotion recognition and psychosis. I would like to gain more research experience in other fields of clinical psychology.

I am passionate about the importance of recognizing the multifaceted nature of mental health and mental illness, especially within the scope of research. There is so much yet to be uncovered about the various genetic and environmental factors that may contribute to mental illness and how these factors may interact. It is imperative that we begin taking a more holistic approach to mental health and clinical research, as it could lead to the discovery of new treatment options.

Check out the "UROP" page to learn about my current research on emotion recognition and the "Other Experiences" page to see some of my other educational experiences.
